Sunset paddle under Cap Canaille
Heading east, beneath the highest sea cliffs in France, which turn red as the sun goes down.
The route
Two hours before sunset, we leave Bestouan beach heading east. We pass Cassis harbour, then the cliffs of Cap Canaille, rising almost 400 metres above the water. As the sun touches the horizon, the cliffs light up: we stop and take it in.
What to expect
- 6 km on a sea that is often calm in the evening
- Back at dusk, head torches provided
- A local fruit juice when we land
